I found a huge shark tooth this morning at DeSoto beach along the Manatee River. Serendipitous glance down and it saw me. Cheney suggested that “...art just before Expressionism was un-Expressionistic, uncreative, unoriginal, inexpressive.” …Cezanne, according to Cheney, “guessed the shallowness of contemporary art, perceived some of the glories that had been obscured, and set to work to recover the main tradition of creativeness, fusing it, within his own vision, with the color-brilliancy learned out of his own time.”
